Controversial former AFL player agent Ricky Nixon arrested over offensive Facebook post
Former AFL player agent Ricky Nixon has been arrested after allegedly posting offensive material on Facebook.
Mr Nixon, 52, was arrested at his Port Melbourne home yesterday over alleged telecommunications offences, the Herald Sun reports.
It is believed Mr Nixon became involved in an online argument with a woman on Facebook last week before posting a photo of her granddaughter with the comment "next f---".
A police spokeswoman said Mr Nixon was released last night pending further inquiries.
Mr Nixon was last week granted permission to release his self-published book after a legal battle with "St Kilda schoolgirl" Kim Duthie.
Ms Duthie had tried to prevent the book from being published due to content about a relationship she and Mr Nixon had several years ago.
