Police stop investigating Vic baby's death

Homicide detectives have stopped investigating the death of an 11-month-old baby in western Victoria with the case being referred to the coroner.

Police began investigating the circumstances around the boy's death after the seriously ill baby was taken to Hamilton Base Hospital on July 13 but died an hour later.

"Investigators have spoken to a number of people in relation to the death however no charges have been laid," police said in statement on Monday.
