A policeman has had a rape charge added to a list of offences he faces over an Australia Day incident.
The leading senior constable was first charged in February with two counts of recklessly causing injury.
This week he was also charged with rape, Victoria Police say in a statement on Wednesday.

The charges stem from the same incident, which is alleged to have occurred while he was at a private residence on January 26.
Police say the man is suspended without pay and will appear in the Geelong Magistrates Court on April 9.
