Police probe 'suspicious' Melbourne death

The death of a woman whose body was found at a Melbourne house is being treated as suspicious, police say.

Emergency services were notified of the discovery at View Street, St Albans about 9am on Sunday, police say.

The woman is yet to be identified, and detectives are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

"The circumstances surrounding the death are yet to be determined but the death is being treated as suspicious at this stage," Victoria Police said in a statement.
