Police hunt women in Melbourne stabbing

A man is in hospital recovering from stab wounds after a group of woman he offered a lift to turned on him in Melbourne.
The 26-year-old man was stabbed a number of times when three women he offered to drive from Richmond to Sunshine North allegedly tried to steal his car on Wednesday night.
The driver managed to run from the scene and has been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are still searching for the women.
