Police are hunting a hacker who has hijacked police radio transmissions several times in regional Victoria.
An unauthorised voice interrupted the police radio frequency on Tuesday causing a car chase to be abandoned following an attempted armed robbery at Sale.
Police believe the hacker is operating in the East Gippsland area, and the state government says plans are already underway to upgrade the radio network.
