Police chopper lands on Vic road

Like a scene from a Hollywood action movie, Victorian police have landed a helicopter in the middle of a road to make a dramatic arrest in Melbourne's west.
Air wing officers swooped when ground crews were delayed by road works, landing their chopper in the middle of an under-construction road on Thursday afternoon before arresting the 27-year-old man in Tarneit.
The Deer Park man was charged with handling stolen goods and using fraudulent number plates and is expected to appear at the Werribee Magistrates Court in October.
