Police chopper chases car across Melbourne

Police have followed a car for 100 kilometres over a large part of eastern Melbourne overnight before arresting a man and a woman, both aged 25, in the city.
Officers tried to intercept the car - which they believed was planning to pick up four people of interest - in Officer but it sped off in the early hours of Friday.
Victoria Police initially pursued the Holden Captiva on the road but subsequently relied on the Air Wing to monitor the car for over an hour from the air. The driver and passenger were arrested in Southbank about 3am with the help of the dog squad and quizzed in relation to reckless conduct endangering life.
