Police chase causes seven car crash

A multi-car pile-up in the wake of a police pursuit has stopped traffic just as Melbourne's peak hour stepped into gear.
Police pursued a car after it ran a red light at the corner of Flinders Street and Wurundjeri Way in Docklands on Thursday afternoon.
When police lost sight of the car, the pursuit was terminated.

It is then believed the same vehicle then ran a second red light and caused a collision with six other cars at the corner of Dynon Road and Footscray Road before it left the scene.
No one was injured in the crash.
VicRoads says lanes are now open after they were temporarily blocked outbound along Wurundjeri Way near Footscray Road.
