Pedestrian forced to pay Myki fine: QC
AAP
A Melbourne man was bullied by a ticket inspector into paying a fine even though he never caught public transport, prominent barrister Julian Burnside says.
The man had crossed the street and stepped onto a Melbourne tram platform and was then fined for not having a valid Myki card, Mr Burnside says in a post on his personal website.
He was fined $75 by a ticket inspector who said he saw him getting off a tram.
