Pedestrian dies after car crash in Vic

A woman is dead after a car hit her while she was on a pedestrian crossing in Melbourne.

The 60-year-old Ringwood woman died in hospital about midnight on Tuesday after being hit in Wantirna early on Monday afternoon.

Police said a truck rear-ended a car that stopped at the crossing, causing the car to hit the walking woman.
