Pedestrian dead after Melbourne collision

A man has been fatally struck by a car while crossing a road in outer Melbourne.
The man was hit crossing Craigieburn Rd in Craigieburn about 4.30pm on Friday and died shortly after at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
The car driver, aged in her 40s, stopped at the scene and isn't expected to face any charges.
