Palliative care to get $66m: Vic govt
AAP
Victorian palliative care services will be expanded and easier to access under a Napthine government, the coalition has promised.
Premier Denis Napthine and Health Minister David Davis on Wednesday committed $66 million towards the delivery of palliative care services across the state.
The package will boost community palliative care, improve out-of-home respite, expand specialist services and better cater for Aboriginal Victorians and the multicultural community, they said.

Research and training in the sector will also be bolstered.
Mr Davis said the funding would build on the coalition's work so far, particularly in rural and regional areas.
