Pair confesses to Melbourne jewel heist

A man and a woman have handed themselves in to police over a burglary at a pop-up shop in Melbourne that netted more than $30,000 in jewellery and gems.

The man, 39, and the woman, 37, presented at Doncaster police station in the city's east on Wednesday with a large amount of jewellery stolen from the Warrandyte shop early on December 8.

They are now being questioned.
