Emergency crews unable to save man who died in St Kilda apartment fire

A man has died after being pulled from a fire in a Melbourne block of flats on Thursday night.
The MFB says he had life-threatening burns and firefighters helped Ambulance Victoria with CPR, but they were unable to save the man.
The fire crews brought the fire in the three-storey block in St Kilda quickly under control, confining it to one unit on the first floor.

Victoria Police say they're investigating the cause of the fire but a crime scene has been established.
