One dead after car hits tree in Victoria

One person is dead after a car carrying four people slammed into a tree in regional Victoria.

Police have been told the car lost control on Williams Rd near Euroa and hit a tree around 12.20pm.

Three people freed themselves and were taken to the Shepparton Hospital with minor injuries, but the fourth person died at the scene.
