AAP
A program targeting violent dads is being trialled in Melbourne.
The Caring Dads program, launched on Tuesday, will invite 60 fathers from across Melbourne who are at risk of engaging in violent behaviour - or have alcohol or other drug issues - to attend group sessions over 17 weeks.
The Victorian government has pitched in $575,000 for the Children's Protection Society trial which aims to help men understand the impact of trauma on their children and be more respectful towards their partners.
