New Vic Country Fire Authority chief named

Joe Buffone has been named the Victorian Country Fire Authority's new chief officer.
Mr Buffone will join the CFA on November 9 and leave his role as deputy commissioner of Emergency Management Victoria.
"He knows what it takes to keep Victorians safe," Emergency Services minister Jane Garrett told reporters on Thursday.
