Victoria is adding three new police squads to its anti-gangs division to fight outlaw motorcycle and Middle Eastern crime gangs.
The state has been dealing with a wave of shootings linked to the ice trade, so 20 new officers will join the team investigating gang crime.
"Both emerging gangs and active criminal networks - including motorcycle gangs - will be investigated, disrupted and held to account for their crimes," Police Minister Lisa Neville said on Tuesday.
