Vic murder-accused fronts court
Security camera footage will form part of the case against a man charged with murdering a woman in central Victoria.
David Whitelegg, 53, has appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court charged with murdering Anne Whitelegg, aged in her 50s.
Police allege the murder took place some time between Thursday and Sunday.
Officers were called to a Wallan home on Sunday morning where Ms Whitlegg's body was found.
Whitelegg had a small cut to his head when he appeared in the court dock on Tuesday.
On the prosecution's request, Magistrate Andrew Capell ordered that CCTV footage be prepared and DNA tests be undertaken as part of the case.
Whitelegg was remanded in custody and ordered to reappear in court for a committal mention on March 5.
