Motorcyclist thrown from bike in Vic crash

A motorcyclist is fighting for life after being thrown from his bike in a crash southwest of Melbourne.

The man hit a traffic island in the Geelong suburb of Corio just before 10pm on Friday, police said.

He was thrown from the bike and flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
