Two killed in Melbourne crashes

A motorcyclist has died after a crashing into a car in Melbourne, with the two people in the sedan fleeing the scene.
The crash happened in Brighton East at about 8pm on Friday, with both vehicles bursting into flames.
A man and woman who were in the car fled before police arrived.

In a separate crash on Friday night a motorist died after their car crashed into the back of a stationary bus at Thomastown in Melbourne's north.
Police say the crash happened on High Street just before 9pm as the bus was picking up passengers.
The driver of the car died at the scene.
