Two dead, girl injured after Vic crashes

A man has died and an 11-year-old girl is in hospital after two cars collided head-on near the Victoria-NSW border.

The man, 32, died en route to hospital after the car he and the girl were in crashed while overtaking in Robinvale in Victoria's northwest on Wednesday morning.

The girl and the male driver of the second car were airlifted to Melbourne with non-life threatening injuries.

The incident followed an earlier death on Wednesday where a motorcyclist lost control and crashed in Werribee South.

The man is the fifth person to die in a motorcycle crash in Victoria this month.

Victoria's provisional road toll is 26, five less than the same time last year.
