Motorbike plan to ease Melb congestion

Melbournians are being encouraged to opt for two wheels over four to reduce increasing congestion on the city's roads.

City of Melbourne Lord Mayor Robert Doyle says road space is becoming an increasing issue and wants to make the CBD safer and more attractive for people to ride motorcycles.

"The city is experiencing unprecedented growth with a million people travelling into the city to work, study or visit on a busy day," he said on Wednesday.
