More trains for Melb as it exceeds Sydney

Melbourne needs to prepare itself for the day it overtakes Sydney as Australia's biggest city by getting more trains on one of its busiest lines, the government says.
The Victorian government has ordered an extra 28 high capacity trains for a total of 65 new trains on the Cranbourne-Pakenham line and the Dandenong corridor by 2018.
"As we in the next 10 to 15 years become bigger than Sydney, we have to be ready for that," Premier Daniel Andrews told reporters on Tuesday.
