More flash flood warnings for Victoria
The deluge continues across Victoria with a severe weather warning issued for heavy rain and possible flash flooding in parts of the state.
Heavy rain and local thunderstorms are forecast for west, south and east Gippsland and parts of the north Central, north East and central forecast districts.
The main rain band will move away from Melbourne to the east in the afternoon and is due to clash with a thunderstorm that crossed the NSW border on Friday morning.
"The east will get some rain out of the band crossing over from Melbourne and potentially damaging wind and heavy rainfall from the thunderstorm that has just started to cross the NSW border," Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Stephen King told AAP on Friday.
It's a wet, grey day but the bureau says the cricket at the MCG should go ahead with only a slim chance of further rain over the city in the evening.
