Bared bottoms have been banned in Victoria, with people who do so facing jail for offensive behaviour.

From Saturday, 'mooning' could land an offender two months in jail and repeat offenders up to six months.

The law is part of an overhaul of 50 sexual offences, designed to crack down on offensive and abusive behaviour while modernising police powers.
