Molly Meldrum thanks emergency services

Music legend Ian "Molly" Meldrum has thanked paramedics for saving his life after he fell from a ladder and suffered critical injuries in 2011.

"Thank you from the bottom of my heart and from everyone else in Australia," Meldrum told emergency workers at an event in Melbourne.

Meldrum is an ambassador for The Thankyou Event, an initiative which aims to harness and grow public gratitude for the work of Australia's emergency workers.
