Man charged over armed siege in Victoria

A man has been charged after allegedly taking a woman hostage while armed with a knife in regional Victoria.
Police say the 28-year-old locked himself inside the house with the woman in Moe for about seven hours on Sunday night before surrendering to police.
He has since been charged with false imprisonment, making threats to kill, possessing a controlled weapon and breaching a court order, and will appear in the Latrobe Magistrates' Court on Monday afternoon.
