Melbourne teens charged following alleged home invasion and car theft

Four teens have been arrested after an allegedly stolen vehicle, taken during a home invasion, was tracked down in Carlton this morning.

The teens allegedly stormed through a Williams Landing home last night and demanded money and car keys.

The four teens allegedly made off from the home driving a silver Nissan sedan.

The same vehicle was spotted by police around 12.30am today in Point Cook and was followed to Carlton, where it was intercepted by police.

Two police vehicles and the Nissan were damaged during the intercept.

Police arrested a 14-year-old Carlton North boy and a 15-year-old Richmond boy, who will appear before a children’s court today.

A 14-year-old South Morang boy and a 17-year-old Keilor Downs boy were also arrested and charged with one count of theft of a motor vehicle.
