FAKE GUN FOUND, MAN ARRESTED

* About 150 state and federal police and ASIO officers simultaneously raided three properties in Ascot Vale, Glenroy and Gladstone Park about 5am on Friday

* Police believe "persons may be involved in the provision of firearms"

* Raids related to Monday's deadly Brighton siege when Yacqub Khayre killed hotel clerk Kai Hao, took a woman hostage and wounded three police.

* Khayre had two shotguns during the siege, police say

GLENROY

* Five people at the house, one arrested

* A 32-year-old man suffered a graze to the face during the arrest

GLADSTONE PARK

* Imitation shotgun seized

* Father and son, 51 and 31, are being spoken to by police

ASCOT VALE

* Police forced entry at the Churchill Ave housing commission flat but no one was home

* Items seized include a laptop

* Neighbour says a man and woman in their 30s live at the flat

* Two cars outside property are part of the crime scene

* Suspects are not of national security interest but are known to police

* "I want to make perfectly clear, we haven't yet uncovered anybody with links to terrorism who are associated with the offender from the Brighton attack." - Deputy Commissioner Shane Patton.
