Melbourne man shot while in his car

A man is injured after being shot while in his car in Melbourne's suburbs in what police believes is a targeted attack.

Emergency services were called to Bulleen following reports from residents of gunshots on Thursday night and arrived to find the injured man.

Victoria Police's anti-gangs division is investigating the attack and whether a burnt out car found nearby in Templestowe is connected to the shooting.
