Melbourne man shot in the stomach

A man has survived being shot in the stomach during a fight involving a group of men in Melbourne.

The man, believed to be in his 20s, was shot during the altercation on Northcorp Boulevard in Broadmeadows on Tuesday afternoon.

Police Senior Constable Adam West says the injured man called emergency services from a nearby fast food restaurant.

He's in a serious but stable condition.
