Melbourne man on cocaine charges

A man has faced court and remains in custody after a kilogram of cocaine and thousands of dollars in cash were allegedly found in his car during a routine intercept in Melbourne.
Police stopped the 30-year-old man Lynbrook man just before midnight on Saturday while patrolling the popular Chapel Street at Prahran and found the cocaine and $13,000 in his car, police say.
The man faced Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Sunday and remains in custody charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of cocaine.
