Melbourne man escapes before car explodes

A Melbourne man jumped out of his car moments before it burst into flames after a serious two-car smash.
The cars were travelling though Thornbury on Saturday morning when one crashed into the rear of another and forced it into a power pole.
A 30-year-old man managed to get out of his car before it burst into flames while the other driver, a 33-year-old man, was trapped for 40 minutes.

Both men were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
