Man charged over 2013 cold-case murder

A man will soon face court over an unsolved murder in Melbourne's north almost two years ago.

A 53-year-old Hillside man was charged on Tuesday with the murder of Teresa Paulino, also known as Teresa Mancuso, whose body was found by a family member in a home in Reservoir in July 2013.

Detective Senior Sergeant Stuart Bailey said the arrest nearly two years after her death may help bring closure for her devastated family.

The accused is expected to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
