Melbourne man charged for painting clock

A man in a high-vis vest was allegedly caught white-handed painting a clock tower at a Melbourne railway station.

Police charged the 33-year-old man with criminal damage after he was allegedly seen painting a high-tech clock tower at Southern Cross Station white on Wednesday afternoon.

The man was allegedly spotted pushing a cart full of pain cans through the station before defacing the landmark.

He has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on July 13.
