Melbourne man arrested after woman's death

The death of a 57-year-old woman in Melbourne is being treated as suspicious and a 68-year-old man has been arrested.

Emergency services were called to Burwood East on Wednesday morning and the exact circumstances of the woman's death are being investigated by the homicide squad.

Police say they are not looking for anyone else in relation to the investigation and anyone with information is asked to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
