Three separate incidents on Melbourne’s West Gate Freeway, including a car turnover, have significantly slowed down the morning run for commuters.

Inbound drivers from Western Ring Road through to Montague Street should expect travel times of up to 70 minutes.

A 4WD accident earlier forced the closure of three lanes on the freeway after it flipped and landed on its roof.

One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries following the crash.

There are also heavy delays inbound on the Princes Freeway from Forsyth Road through to the Burnley Tunnel after a cement truck broke down.

All inbound lanes have now reopened on the West Gate Freeway and all lanes are now open in the Burnley Tunnel.

VicRoads has advised motorists to seek an alternative route.
