Man dies in head-on crash in regional Victoria

One man is dead and another has been injured in a head-on crash on the Melba Highway, north-east of Melbourne.
Authorities believe one of the two vehicles veered onto the wrong side of the road around 5.45am, causing the collision at Dixons Creek, in regional Victoria.
A male driver died at the scene while the second male driver sustained minor injuries.

A truck was also involved, when it collided with the wreckage.
The truck driver was uninjured.
The Melba Highway is currently closed in both directions north of Hargreaves Road.
Motorists are urged to take alternative routes.
