Melb man surrenders after 5hr siege

A Melbourne man has surrendered to police after a five-hour siege at his home.

Police went to do a welfare check on the 22-year-old Hampton Park man at 9.20am on Friday but he refused to come out.

Armed police officers went to the house and he surrendered at 1.25pm and has been taken into custody.
