The director of the Victorian Liberal Party is standing down three months after the state election loss.
Damien Mantach will finish as state director on March 13 after seven years in the job.
"This is not a decision I have taken lightly, but I believe the time is right for change," he said on Wednesday.

"I will be taking up a new position in the federal system which will be announced in the near future."
Mr Mantach said the party must learn the lessons of last year's state election defeat.
