Man to be charged after punching Vic cop

A police officer was punched in the head and knocked unconscious by a man at a motor-cross event in Melbourne.
Police expect to charge a 33-year-old Tarneit man on Tuesday over the assault and he will appear later in the Sunshine Magistrates Court.
The sergeant was working at the event in Sunshine on Saturday night when he was punched in the head, knocked unconscious and taken to hospital suffering concussion.
