Man suffers head injuries in CBD assault

A man has head injuries following an assault in Melbourne's CBD overnight.

Police say the 27-year-old was attacked by another man on Kings Way, Southbank, shortly after midnight.

He was taken to hospital with what are understood to be non-life threatening injuries.

The other man involved is described as Caucasian with a tanned complexion, abd was wearing a white t-shirt and black pants.
