Prank leaves man stranded on Melbourne building
It's believed the man was stuck on the ledge all night.
A man has been trapped on a ledge on the fifth storey of a Melbourne building after his friends took away a ladder and left him stranded.
Rescue crews were called to a building on Collins Street in Docklands on Wednesday morning after a man became stranded on the ledge.
The Metropolitan Fire Brigade said a group of friends were climbing on the building's exterior before they removed a ladder as part of a prank and left their mate stranded.
A fire truck with a hydraulic platform was used to reach the man, who was brought down to the ground unharmed but "embarrassed".
Victoria Police said the man was skylarking and "not threatening self-harm". He is expected to be charged with trespass.
