Man arrested after Melbourne pub brawl

A man has been arrested after a brawl outside a Melbourne pub left another man with stab wounds to his upper body.

Victoria Police spokeswoman Cerina O'Grady said police arrested a man after the brawl outside a licensed premises in Doveton.

The altercation occurred just after 6pm on Thursday, she said.

An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said paramedics took the injured man to The Alfred hospital.
