Man seriously injured in Melb stabbing

A man has been seriously injured in a stabbing outside his Melbourne apartment.

Detectives have been told the victim was at home with his family in Osborne Street, South Yarra, when he noticed a man loitering in an adjacent car park about 6.10pm on Saturday.

The 38-year-old approached the man, who ran off, but police believe the same man returned later with a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times.
