Man released after woman's Melbourne death

Homicide detectives have released a 22-year-old man following the death of a woman in Melbourne's Endeavour Hills.

Police were called to a home on Lachlan Drive at about 9pm on Tuesday and found the man and a woman unconscious.

The 22-year-old woman died at the scene.

A 22-year-old man was taken to hospital and later arrested.

However, the death has been deemed not suspicious and the man was released from custody on Thursday.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
