Man charged over Vic sports club death

A man has been charged with manslaughter following the death of another man at a regional Victorian sports club.

The charge relates to the death of a 47-year-old Heywood man, who died after he was assaulted at a Heywood sporting facility on Saturday.

The 45-year-old Portland man handed himself into police and will appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Thursday afternoon.
