Man injured in Melbourne home invasion

A teenage boy has been arrested after a home invasion in Melbourne in which a man was hit on the head with a block of wood.

The 42-year-old man suffered minor injuries when he confronted a group of six to eight men, who smashed a rear window to break into his Rockbank house just after 3am on Sunday.

The offenders stole car keys and fled in a white Toyota Camry, which was later found dumped at Melton.

Two other occupants who were home at the time were uninjured.

A 16-year-old boy is being interviewed by police.
